As most of you know I work full time as well as teaching part time fitness classes.  This may change next year, if all goes to plan and I expand with my fitness business.  For me teaching is not about making millions… I have to make it worth my while, but my drive is to making my clients ‘Feel Good’, healthy and happy if I can.

I know how important it is to keep fitness classes interesting, as i believe this is the key to enjoying regular exercise, and continuing to do so.

In October I am starting my new Power Chi Yoga class, which is completely new to Sutton Coldfield.  This will be exercise for the mind and body, an hour to chill out and recharge your batteries.  We lead such busy lives so i felt a class such as this would be a great idea for my timetable and another option away from my dance or aerobic classes.

Also i have just enrolled on a Zumba Burst course.  This will add some interval training dance routines to our usual Monday night class.  There will still be options to suit all, but adding 3 to 4 ‘Burst’ tracks will increase the intensity, and will encourage fat and calorie burn.  The course should take about 2 weeks so keep your eyes peeled for the first of these energetic routines coming to our Monday night Zumba class!

Also this week I will be adding some new dance steps to our American Smooth routine in Fitsteps. Strictly is now back on our screens so try and tune in see if you can see any of the steps we use in Fitsteps.  Each month more new steps will come on board and each week i tweak the music to keep us on our toes and keep the interest going.

Lastly I change the layout of my Saturday morning class each week.  Sometimes we add pyramid sections for a specific section of the body.  Sometimes we use HIIT or Tabata to raise the intensity, and once a month we have a Saturday morning Bootcamp, which is great fun!

So you see i do try my very best to keep you all happy and interested enough to keep fit…  I cannot promise to please everyone but I am always open to suggestions if you have any. My classes are for your enjoyment and benefit.  Hope to see you in class very soon.
