At Christmas the average person will gain a few pounds over the festive period, and Christmas is to be enjoyed!  I am not going to tell you to avoid all the things we love at this time of year, but just to keep an eye on what we eat, and make up for binge days with good days.  If we can aim to have more good days, than bad over Christmas it is likely you may not put any weight on at all. Mix that with some exercise and you should be fine!

So on the good days avoid the cakes, chocolate, nibbles full of fat and calories.  Also don’t forget to watch the drinks you consume. If you can avoid alcohol completely on your good days, thats ideal.  If you cant do this, then try to drink the less calorific drinks, such as gin, light beers,  prosecco or even champagne, but do watch out for the mixers.  Mixers can be worse than the alcohol at times.

Try to get some exercise over the festive period. This could be taking the dog for lots of walks, or working out at home, spending time in the park with the kids! I shall be adding some work out videos in our private facebook group over Christmas shut down.  I shall add videos for various fitness levels, so you should find something to suit you. If all else fails you can join me in the new year to work it off, and get back on track!!

Above all else stay safe over Christmas and enjoy the time with family and friends, and make the most of chilling out.

Merry Christmas!
