Of course I want you to be active all of the time and every month of the year but I hear and see that lots of us may have lost our modjo a little. This is understandable considering the cold, snowy and wet weather we have had, and the lack of sunlight, it all can have an impact!
I am saying to my ladies in classes this week and for the rest of the month, get back on track and be active. When you exercise you release endorphins, these are the ‘feel good’ hormones that start racing around your brain when triggered. Why not use April as your new beginning for those who need it. We are a few months away from the Summer months and if you stick to your realistic goals now, you will see a difference when you most need it. Apart from the obvious benefits to the body shape, overall health and fitness, exercise is so good for the mind too. It is scientifically proven that you also release more ‘feel good’ hormones when in a ‘group’ exercise class too. An hour away from the stresses of day to day life can really lift your spirits and help you cope much better with problems when they arise.
If dancing is your thing then this is proven to be the best exercise style to hold back the years. You can improve your brain function, memory and co-ordination if you do a regular dance class, and its great fun! My Fitsteps and Dance fit classes are very popular and include all levels and ages, dancing together. Yoga also is great at fighting off the years and something you can do to a ripe old age. You do not need to be flexible, just willing to give it ago and improve at your own pace.
So what are you waiting for…. take that first step, or restart, which ever applies to you. Begin your healthy eating and exercise regime now. Our ‘Feel Good’ community is a very friendly and fun group of people, who enjoy keeping fit and encouraging each other.
As always if you need any help or advice on health or nutrition feel free to message or text me.
