At this time of year we have darker mornings and nights, its so easy to get into a rut and have the urge to hibernate and soon the clocks will go back too.  Please do not let this ruin your exercise regime. Exercise is not only great for staying fit and keeping the weight down, but you release ‘feel good’ hormones whilst you are working out.  I hear it all the time, but its true, ‘it can be a real effort to get to class sometimes, but i feel so much better afterwards’.  This is even so more important this time of year as this is typically when we can put extra weight on and feel less motivated to exercise. Also we are more tempted to eat ‘comfort’ food, which on the whole isnt the healthiest of choices.  As Christmas is coming, you will want to feel good in your Xmas frocks and limit the damage from the Xmas excess binge. So earn your Xmas treats now!

Try to at least to do 2 workouts each week, ideally 3.  Make sure you include some cardio in there too.  This could be by coming to my classes or taking some brisks walks or exercising at home. If you stay on track now, you will have less to do in January!

Take a deep breath and make the effort now… when Christmas is upon us you will be so glad you did! x
