Dancing has so many great benefits for our mind and body and it keeps us young!. This has been recently scientifically proven and reported on ‘ The Truth About Getting Fit’ on TV. Dancing requires you to multitask by learning steps and keep in time to music which is great for improving the memory and brain function. It also benefits our heart, cardiovascular system and can increase our lung capacity. It is particularly good for encouraging strong bones and keeping joints lubricated. It can help us burn calories, improve stamina and improve posture too! So many ladies join my Dancefit Fusion and Fitsteps class and say, their co-ordination is not good, but over a few weeks they can see the improvement already. My dance classes are also great for socialising and meeting new people. Not everyone likes the gym, and some of us, including me, workout much better among like minded people.
So dance is great for keeping the mind stimulated too. I receive so many great comments about my music choices in class. This may be because the songs bring back some memories from the past, or its a chart song out now that someone really likes. Whatever the reason I like to encourage a good feeling in class, bring a smile to the faces and leave my ladies on a high at the end of the class! Dance does elevate your mood by raising endorphin levels. this can help with stress and depression, and improve our immune system.
There are so many great reasons to join a dance class. Why not come and try Dancefit Fusion on a Monday night or Fitsteps on a Thursday night, I think you will be glad you did. Drop me a line or check out my website if you would like more information.
Keep Dancing!
